Heavy Duty Lifts:
SEFAC lifts are one man portable, meaning that they can be used both indoors and outdoors – being easily moved from bay-to-bay and job-to-job. Each column is positioned individually straddling the vehicle tire and, at the touch of the button, the vehicle is quickly and securely raised in the air for maintenance duties. Once under the vehicle, the technician has unobstructed access to all drive train components, making a SEFAC lift the ideal choice for major service work. Each column has a capacity of 18,000 lb. and they can be used in combinations of two, four or six for maximum flexibility. Every SEFAC lift is built tough and has a long list of innovative and user friendly features.
Why SEFAC?
SEFAC lifts are certified to ALI/ETL and comply with the ALI/ALCTV 2008 standard. The most enduring safety feature on every SEFAC lift is the self locking, ACME threaded screw. SEFAC has used this guaranteed failsafe device for over 30 years. It does not require a locking mechanism to grab the load in the event of a failure because the continuously self-locking nut ensures that the inherent friction between the load bearing nut and heavy-duty screw guarantees that the lift will remain in the air. SEFAC lifts will only move when intentionally powered up or down. Many SEFAC users have benefited from more than 20 years of usage before the load nut requires replacement. This technology is proven to be more robust and safer than hydraulic powered lifts. Hydraulic lift seals are constantly under load and therefore under wear so they can drift downward without warning.
More SEFAC Advantages:
- Interactive touch screen controls; communicates any operational status and/or fault remedy to the operator in clear written words - not some meaningless code.
- The column weight of 875 lb. (50% lighter than hydraulic lifts), means this is truly a one man portable lift.
- Columns can be placed in any sequence around the vehicle, saving time and money.
- Lifts can be operated as all columns, pairs (for axle replacement) or independently for easy access to wheels.
- Our unique variable lift speed means that when the operator is lifting a lighter vehicle, a faster lift speed can be selected (up to 67" per minute).
- All raise/lower functions are managed from a detachable hand held control allowing the operator to stand back and safely observe the lifting process.
- The control can be connected into any operational column for all round safety.
- The overall height of the column does not extend as the vehicle is raised, ensuring that the vehicle being lifted remains a safe distance from the column minimizing the likelihood of lift/vehicle contact.
- The clearance between the face of the column and the vehicle is 11” meaning that the column is unlikely to come into contact with vehicle in the event of a vehicle suspension failure or flat tire.
- A fully automatic phase rotation device adjusts the phase rotation of the lifts to the incoming supply.
- While we always recommend that cables are not driven over; our interconnecting cables are sheathed within a steel jacket for their protection.
- The PLC has a wide range of programmed features including cycles of use, annual inspection due as well as maximum height settings.
